ORIGINS AND ETYMOLOGY

Astro-English: from Astronese, the word astrition is formed from the use of the prefix astri- as an alternative form of the prefix astro- conjoined to the suffix -tion which denotes an action; as a result, a broad term is made that denotes “action in relation to or as involving the astronomical world and its phenomena.”
